Dajin Heavy Industry Secures Over 2 Billion Yuan in Shipbuilding Deals

Dajin Heavy Industry (SHE:002487) signed contracts worth about 2.05 billion yuan to build four 211,000 deadweight tonnage bulk carriers for Norwegian and Greek shipowners.

The about 300-meter-long vessels will be delivered in batches in 2029, according to a Monday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

Shares of the shipmaker rose 4% in recent trade on the Shenzhen bourse.

Zijin Gold International (HKG:2259) extended the outside date for its proposed acquisition of Allied Gold to July 29 from May 29, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.The company said certain key regulatory approvals required to acquire 100% of Allied Gold have not yet been obtained.Zijin Gold International agreed in January to acquire Allied Gold for about CA$5.5 billion, offering CA$44 per share.Allied Gold owns the Sadiola gold mine in Mali, the Bonikro and Agbaou gold mines in Côte d'Ivoire, and the Kurmuk gold mine in Ethiopia.Shares of the miner were up nearly 3% in Monday morning trade.
