Dajin Heavy Industry (SHE:002487), through subsidiary Tangshan Dajin Offshore Engineering, agreed to construct a new generation of green and intelligent multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels for $156 million, according to a Shenzhen bourse filing on Saturday.
The Chinese shipmaker's shares jumped 3% during Monday's afternoon trade.
The company will design and build two vessels with a capacity of 25,000 deadweight tonnage each to Dutch shipowner Jumbo.
The ships will be delivered in 2029 and 2029.
