Daiichi Sankyo's (TYO:4568) profit attributable to owners of the company fell 20% to 68.6 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 from 85.50 billion yen a year earlier.
The pharmaceutical company's diluted earnings per share declined to 37.70 yen from 46.01 yen a year ago, according to a Friday Japan Exchange filing.
Revenue, however, increased 21% to 574.7 billion yen from 474.6 billion yen a year earlier.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, Daiichi Sankyo projected a profit attributable to owners of the company of 251 billion yen, or 137.94 yen per share, with a revenue of 2.34 trillion yen.
The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 50 yen per share, bringing the full-year dividend to 100 yen per share.
