Cyient to Acquire US' Tao Digital Solutions for $218 Million

Cyient (NSE:CYIENT, BOM:532175) has agreed to acquire US-based Tao Digital Solutions at an enterprise value of $218 million, according to a Saturday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The company's shares were up over 1% in Monday's trade.

Tao Digital is a digital engineering firm focused on data, product, and artificial intelligence-led services with presence in the US, Canada, India, Taiwan, and Europe.

The acquisition will be done as a cash deal, including an upfront payment and performance-linked earnout. Subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions, expected to close by the end of September.

"The acquisition strengthens our presence in automotive, hitech, healthtech sectors, expands our customer footprint significantly in North America, and our delivery reach across regions," executive director and chief executive officer of Cyient Sukamal Banerjee, said in the statement.

Minieye Technology to Acquire 50% Stake in Xi'an Tongtu Technology in 25 Million Yuan Deal

Minieye Technology (HKG:2431) agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Xi'an Tongtu Technology in a cash plus equity deal valued at 25 million yuan, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The firm said it will settle payment to ZTO Express by issuing 20 million yuan worth of shares at HK$9.81 each and 5 million yuan in cash.The 2.3 million H shares to be granted under the deal represent 0.57% of the company's issued share capital and 0.56% as enlarged by the sale.Xi'an Tongtu Technology operates in the unmanned vehicle operations business and the acquisition offers an opportunity for Minieye to integrate the target's technology for its own driverless vehicle efforts, the firm said.Xi'an Tongtu Technology will serve as a subsidiary of Minieye following the purchase.Minieye shares were up nearly 5% in late morning trade Monday.
