Cygnus Metals Shareholders Vote in Favour of Central Asia Metals Scheme of Arrangement, Shares Up 3%

Cygnus Metals (ASX:CY5) said scheme shareholders have voted in favor of the scheme of arrangement under which Central Asia Metals will acquire 100% of the shares in Cygnus, according to a Monday statement.

The company said it will apply to the Supreme Court of Western Australia for approval of the scheme at a hearing scheduled for Sept. 23, with a copy of the court orders to be lodged with ASIC the following day, when the scheme would become effective.

Cygnus said it expects to be suspended from trading on the ASX from the close of trading on Sept. 24 and on the TSX Venture Exchange from the close of trading on Sept. 23, with the scheme to be implemented on Oct. 5.

The company's shares rose 3% in recent Monday trade.

Eternity Investment (HKG:0764) unit Eternity Finance and executive director Lei Hong Wai agreed to sell around 169 million and 18.7 million respective shares in China Healthwise (HKG:0348).The shares, representing an 18.3% and 2% stake in China Healthwise, respectively, were sold to Hwa Sheng International Investment at HK$0.08 apiece, a Friday bourse filing showed.The company will receive a consideration of around HK$13.5 million from the disposal and cease to hold any stake in China Healthwise following completion.Proceeds will be used to repay a margin loan, as well as for general working capital.
