CSPC Pharmaceutical Group (HKG:1093) said currently available clinical data for its drug candidate SYS6043 indicates it could become a treatment option for multiple tumor types, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
According to the company, the medicine demonstrated "favorable anti-tumor activity" in subjects enrolled in an open-label, phase 1/2 clinical study in China.
Among the 533 evaluable patients, the objective response rate was 41.8% while the median duration of response stood at 6.9 months. The disease control rate among the patients was assessed at 81.4%.
Based on the results, the firm said it would advance related studies of the drug in ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and small cell lung cancer.
