CrowdStrike Expands AWS Partnership Across AI Security, Cloud Operations

CrowdStrike (CRWD) said Wednesday it is expanding its collaboration with Amazon.com's (AMZN) Amazon Web Services across its project QuiltWorks AI risk framework and Falcon platform to strengthen security for AI applications and cloud workloads.

The company said it is extending project QuiltWorks with AWS to harden cloud workload infrastructure against frontier AI vulnerabilities. Organizations running AWS workloads under the framework will gain continuous visibility and risk mitigation support.

Separately, CrowdStrike said it is expanding its Falcon AI detection and response capabilities across AWS technologies including Amazon Bedrock, Kiro, and Strands Agents to help organizations detect and mitigate AI runtime risks in applications built on AWS.

The company also said it is broadening Falcon platform availability through AWS Marketplace, including 30-day free trials for key products and new integrations such as Quick Start connectors for AWS services and AWS PrivateLink cross-region support to improve onboarding and cloud-scale security operations.

Consumer stocks edged up late Tuesday afternoon, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) each fractionally higher.In corporate news, Rivian Automotive (RIVN) laid off hundreds of employees, or under 2% of its workforce, Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a company spokesperson. The layoffs affected workers in the electric-vehicle maker's service and customer organization, the report said. Rivian shares fell 4.3%.
