Crompton Greaves Moves Upmarket with Launch of Crompton Rhion Brand

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (NSE:CROMPTON, BOM:539876) launched a new super-premium brand named Crompton Rhion, as part of its strategy to expand presence in the premium appliances segment, according to an Indian bourse filing on Wednesday.

Shares of the company rose nearly 2% in Thursday's trade.

The company plans to introduce products across multiple categories under the new brand, the filing said.

Crompton said it will integrate its large kitchen appliances business into the Crompton Rhion vertical.
