The Caspian Pipeline Consortium suspended oil loadings at its Black Sea export terminal on Thursday, following Ukrainian strikes on two vessels at and near the facility, it said in a statement.
Drone attacks hit the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker while loading at the terminal, resulting in a fire, and the Isle of Man-flagged vessel while en route to receive oil from the facility, according to CPC.
The company said there were no injuries or casualties reported, and an oil spill was prevented. Pipeline facilities are also operating normally despite suspension of oil loading.
This marks the third time this month that the terminal suspended operations due to disruptions from strikes. CPC said that the incidents show that the calls of the Kazakhstan government and CPC shareholders to exclude energy infrastructure from attacks were "ignored."
In Russia, a recent Ukrainian drone attack also damaged one of the crude distillation units at Lukoil's Perm refinery, with a repair timeline remaining uncertain, Reuters reported Thursday, citing sources.
CDU-5 was reportedly put on shutdown following a fire. It accounts for 34% of the refinery's total capacity of 37,514 metric tons per day.
Lukoil did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
