COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers (SHA:600428) plans to build eight 60,000-ton class multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels at CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding for up to 2.62 billion yuan.
Deliveries are scheduled between April 2029 and June 2030, with five installment payments, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The project yields an estimated 6.64% internal rate of return and a 12.5-year payback period.
Shares of the shipping company rose 2% in recent trade.
