Soybean crush for April dropped compared with March levels, the US Department of Agriculture said Monday in its monthly Oilseed Crushings, Production, Consumption and Stocks Report.
The USDA pegged soybeans crushed for crude oil at 6.55 million metric tons or 218 million bushels in April 2026, compared with 6.95 million mt or 232 mb in March 2026 and 6.07 million mt or 202 million bushels in April 2025.
The amount of crude oil produced from crushed soybeans was 2.53 billion pounds, down 6% from March 2026 and up 5% from March 2025.
Soybean once refined oil production at 1.94 billion pounds during April 2026 decreased 3% from March 2026 and increased 11% from April 2025.
Iowa facilities crushed a total of 1.3 million mt, with facilities in the North and Eastern US totaling 1.4 million mt.
Soybean-based crude oil stocks, as of April 30, 2026, totaled 2 billion pounds, slightly below 2.1 billion pounds in March.
Corn oil crushed to produce crude oil totaled 116 million pounds in April, above 139 million pounds in March.
