Megabox JoongAng took out a loan of 21 billion won from its parent and entertainment giant ContentreeJoongAng (KRX:036420) to secure liquidity, according to a filing with the Korea Exchange on Thursday.
The loan period is from May 26, 2026, to May 25, 2027. The loan amount is equivalent to 3.52% of Megabox JoongAng's total equity capital, it said.
Shares of ContentreeJoongAng fell nearly 2% in recent trade.

CT Vision (HKG:0994) agreed to issue HK$10.8 million worth of shares to an investor and would seek a further HK$54 million via the equity markets, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The renewable energy company's shares gained nearly 6% in late morning trade Thursday.The company agreed to issue 30 million shares at HK$0.36 apiece to Arta Asset Management and simultaneously launched a public offering for another 150 million shares at the same price.Proceeds from the sales will be used to expand and develop the company's renewable energy and aerospace businesses.
Guanze Medical Information Industry (HKG:2427) flagged a high concentration of shareholding in the firm's shares following a request from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to a filing with the city's bourse Wednesday.The medical imaging film products maker's shares fell nearly 17% in late morning trade Thursday.According to the notice, 20 shareholders collectively controlled 94.13% of the company's issued share capital, leaving only 5.87% of the issued shares in the hands of other shareholders.This meant that the shares may not have a genuine market and prices could fluctuate "substantially" even with a small number of shares traded, the firm said.
