ConocoPhillips (COP) and Glenfarne Group's subsidiary have signed a 30-year agreement to supply North Slope natural gas for phase one of the Alaska LNG project, the companies said Monday.
Financial details weren't provided.
With the deal, the project has now secured agreements with major North Slope producers for substantial gas volumes to advance toward a final investment decision for phase one, which consists of the 739-mile pipeline supplying natural gas to Alaska's domestic market and improving long-term energy security as Cook Inlet production declines, the companies said.
