By

Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) said diamond drilling began at the Bailundo carbonatite project in Angola, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The project is held by Frontier Resources Angola, in which Connected Minerals holds an 80% interest.

It completed the first stage of its ground geophysical program at Bailundo, including a survey combining ground penetrating radar and electrical resistivity tomography profiles across the carbonatite complex.

The Bailundo drilling program is expected to comprise around 6,000 meters of both reverse circulation and diamond drilling.

Its shares fell 3% in recent trading on Monday.
