Commonwealth Bank of Australia Expands Loyalty Program, Partners With Multiple Brands

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) said a new change to its CommBank Yello loyalty program will make more than nine million customers eligible to earn points on home loans, savings accounts, insurance and credit cards, according to a Tuesday statement.

The bank said eligible customers will be able to earn, track and redeem points within the CommBank app and NetBank, with points redeemable on everyday essentials such as groceries, utility bills and fuel as well as dining and travel, working with established brands including Woolworths' (ASX:WOW) Everyday Rewards, Origin Energy (ASX:ORG), Myer (ASX:MYR), and Velocity Frequent Flyer.

Virgin Australia (ASX:VGA) said the partnership between its Velocity Frequent Flyer loyalty program and CBA's Yello program will allow customers to earn Velocity Points on consumer banking products.

Yuntianhua's H1 Profit Rises 6%, Revenue Drops 9%; Shares Up 3%
