Coal India's (NSE:COALINDIA) consolidated attributable profit for the fiscal first quarter rose to 88.5 billion rupees from nearly 88 billion rupees a year ago.
The coal miner's earnings per share stood at 14.36 rupees, compared with 14.27 rupees a year earlier, according to a stock exchange filing on Monday.
Revenue rose to 462.5 billion rupees for the three months ended June 30 from 429.2 billion rupees a year ago.
The company declared a first interim dividend of 5.50 rupees per share, payable by Aug. 25.
