CMOC Group (SHA:603993, HKG:3993) will raise annual transaction caps with Contemporary Amperex Technology or CATL (SHE:300750, HKG:3750) and KFM Holdings for 2026-2028, according to a weekend filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The revision reflects anticipated production growth from the KFM copper-cobalt mine following technical upgrades, rising copper prices, and the Democratic Republic of Congo's cobalt export quota policy causing market volatility.
CMOC will sell copper, cobalt and nickel to CATL while purchasing battery systems and metals. With KFM, CMOC will expand product procurement, including copper and cobalt, and equipment supply.
Shares of CMOC rose 3% in recent trade on the Shanghai bourse.
