ClearView Wealth Says Scheme of Arrangement for Acquisition by Zurich Financial Becomes Effective

ClearView Wealth (ASX:CVW) lodged an office copy of the court orders approving its proposed acquisition by Zurich Financial Services Australia with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) on Friday, at which time the scheme of arrangement became effective, according to a same-day Australian bourse filing.

It is expected that the trading in ClearView's shares on the ASX will be suspended from close of trading on Friday.

ClearView's shares fell nearly 1% in recent trading on Friday.

United Microelectronics (TPE:2303) board approved an investment of up to NT$1.7 billion in private equity fund TGVest Asia Partners III (Taiwan), according to a Wednesday Taiwan Exchange filing.The investment will be made through capital contributions based on capital call notices under the fund's limited partnership agreement.The funds will be used as a long-term investment, it said.
