China International Capital (SHA:601995, HKG:3908) or CICC started accepting applications from dissenting shareholders seeking cash consideration in its share swap merger with Dongxing Securities (SHA:601198) and Cinda Securities (SHA:601059).
Dissenting shareholders can apply to sell shares at 34.57 yuan per share from Sept. 15 to Sept. 17, with CICC's A shares suspended during the application period, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
CICC estimates a maximum of 24.2 million shares may be tendered. Trading is expected to resume within three to five trading days after the application period closes.
