Semiconductor Manufacturing International (HKG:0981, SHA:688981), or SMIC, recorded a 262% surge in profit attributable to owners in the second quarter to $479.2 million from $132.5 million a year prior.
The semiconductor manufacturer's earnings per share jumped to $0.06 from $0.02 previously, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Revenue jumped 36% to $3.01 billion from $2.21 billion in the year-ago period.
