China and Thailand agreed to deepen cooperation in technology, innovation and supply chain development, including closer policy coordination and expanded scientific exchanges, according to a joint statement released after Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's five-day visit to China.
The two countries said they would boost partnership in areas including artificial intelligence, advanced electronics, aerospace, clean energy, agricultural technology, health, advanced materials and geospatial information, while promoting technology transfer and joint research.
They also agreed to expand cooperation between industry, academia and research institutions to build more resilient supply chains and support technology startups and talent development.
Both countries will also accelerate construction of the China-Thailand high-speed railway, advance work on its second phase, and deepen coordination on foreign affairs and defence through a new ministerial dialogue mechanism, according to the joint statement.
