China Shenhua Energy (HKG:1088, SHA:601088) reported an attributable net profit of 31.1 billion yuan for the first half, up 1.9% from 30.5 billion yuan a year earlier.
The coal producer's basic earnings per share stood at 1.448 yuan, compared with 1.438 yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Revenue increased 7.9% year over year to 189.3 billion yuan for the six months ended June 30 from 175.4 billion yuan.
The board of directors proposed an interim dividend of 0.98 yuan per share for the period under review.
