Chinese shares opened higher on Thursday as the pace of the country's inflation was mixed in June.
The Shanghai Composite Index, the main gauge of Chinese stocks, opened 0.2% higher to 3,977.55. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.7% to 15,038.47.
China's annual consumer inflation rose 1% year over year in June, slightly lower than analysts expectations of 1.1% and the 1.2% pace recorded in May.
Producer inflation accelerated to 4.1%, in line with the consensus forecast of 4.1% and compared with the 3.9% pace recorded the previous month.
