China's first prefabricated computing power hub started operations on Saturday, state-owned CCTV reported Sunday.
The facility, located in Qingdao, Shandong province, offers a more efficient and greener way to supply electricity to data centers, the report said.
The power facility reduces carbon footprint by more than 30% and cuts cost by up to 20%, according to the report.
Each piece of equipment is powered by three different sources, allowing it to withstand power fluctuations in the extrenal grid, CCTV said, citing Qingdao TGOOD Electric (SHE:300001) CEO Zhou Jun.
