China Merchants Land (HKG:0978) said an indirect subsidiary has agreed to return a land parcel in Foshan, Guangdong, to the local government for cash compensation of 569.1 million yuan, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The land parcel, located in Nanhai District, has a site area of about 17,602.9 square meters.
The compensation will be paid by the Guicheng Sub-district Office to Foshan China Merchants Baohua Real Estate, the company's indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary.

China Petrochemical Development (TPE:1314) unit Core Pacific Development won a ruling from the Taiwan High Court, that revoked a criminal seizure order on a plot of land in Taipei, Taiwan.The land had been subject to four seizure rulings issued by the Taipei District Court at the request of the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.The company said the matter has no financial or business impact.
