China Gold International Resources (HKG:2099) said slope remediation plans for its Chang Shan Hao Gold Mine in Inner Mongolia have been approved, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The company expects to complete key interim works needed to resume mining within about one month after contractors are selected and mobilized, with normal operations expected to resume progressively thereafter.
The two remediation programs have estimated capital expenditures of 98.4 million yuan.
China Gold International said it does not expect the May 22 slope instability incident to materially affect the mine's annual production guidance.
Shares of the firm were up nearly 2% in Tuesday morning trade.
