China Gold International Resources (HKG:2099) approved a development plan for its Jiama copper-polymetallic mine in Tibet, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The plan targets increasing mining and processing capacity to about 160,000 tonnes per day from 50,000 tonnes.
It also calls for a shift to a super-pit mining strategy and remains subject to a preliminary feasibility study, internal review, and regulatory approvals.
The study is expected to be completed around the end of 2026, the filing said.
