China Fines Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Branch for Sewage Discharge Violations

Authorities in China fined Beijing Shunxin Agriculture's (SHE:000860) Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Pengcheng Food Branch 250,000 yuan for sewage discharge violations, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.

The branch's average total phosphorus concentration of its wastewater discharge reached 9.43 milligrams per liter, exceeding the 8 mg/L threshold during a pump malfunction on Feb. 27, the filing said.

Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Pengcheng Food Branch also discharged 562.5 tons of wastewater during non-shutdown periods.
