China CSSC (SHA:600150) subsidiary Guangzhou Shipyard International will build 10 dual-fuel liquefied natural gas-powered pure car/truck carriers for an unnamed shipowner worth $1 billion, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Each carrier will have a capacity of 8,200 vehicles. The shipbuilder will deliver the carriers between 2029 and 2031, according to the filing.
Company shares jumped 3% during morning trading on Thursday.
