China Coal Xinji Energy (SHA:601918) logged first-half coal sales revenue of 5.65 billion yuan, up 13% from 4.99 billion yuan from a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Wednesday.
The coal producer sold 10.1 million tonnes of commercial coal, 7.3% higher than 9.4 million tonnes in the previous year. Commercial coal output rose 3.2% year on year to 10.3 million tonnes from 9.9 million tonnes.
Power generation jumped 85% year on year to 12.3 billion kilowatt-hours from 6.67 billion kWh, with on-grid electricity up 85% to 11.62 billion kWh from 6.28 billion kWh.
Shares of the coal miner closed 1% higher Wednesday.
