China Coal Energy (SHA:601898, HKG:1898) saw a 12% rise in attributable profit in the first half of 2026 to 8.19 billion yuan from 7.33 billion yuan in the year-ago period, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Earnings per share stood at 0.62 yuan, up from 0.55 yuan in the corresponding period of the last year.
The coal company's revenue, however, slid 2% to 73.1 billion yuan in the half year from 74.4 billion yuan a year prior.
The firm declared an interim dividend of 0.184 yuan per share for the period, payable on or before Oct. 21 to shareholders of record on Sept. 11.
