China Coal Energy's (SHA:601898, HKG:1898) reported a 2.6% year-over-year increase in August commercial coal sales to 21.39 million tons, despite a 13.1% drop in output to 10.08 million tons.
In the coal chemicals segment, sales volumes for most products fell, including polyolefins, urea, and methanol, while overall chemical production rose.
