Chery Automobile (HKG:9973) sold 231,944 vehicles in May across its five major brands, up 21% from a year prior, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The firm's Chery brand saw sales rise 34% year over year to 167,645 units, while iCar sales gained 60% to 9,432 units. Jetour sales rose 1% year on year to 45,557 units, figures showed.
Exeed and Luxeed sales decreased 47% and 31%, respectively, to 5,882 units and 3,428 units.
New energy vehicle sales totaled 89,340 units, while exports reached 177,666 units, figures showed.
For the five months ended May 30, total sales increased 7.5% to 1.03 million units.
