Changchun High-Tech Industry's (SHE:000661) unit, Changchun GeneScience Pharmaceuticals, obtained approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for the clinical trial of GenSci144 tablets, according to a Friday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.
The product will be tested as a treatment for chronic kidney disease.
