Cauldron Energy Defines New Targets From Reprocessed Passive Seismic Data at Yanrey Uranium Project

By

Cauldron Energy (ASX:CXU) said Southern Geoscience has reprocessed historic passive seismic data collected over the Bennet Well area of its Yanrey uranium project in Western Australia, providing "excellent" definition of the Bennet Well palaeochannel and surrounding areas, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the reprocessed data has extended the newly discovered Yanrey palaeochannel a further three kilometers upstream and determined that the untested Yanrey palaeochannel is linked to the Bennet Well estuary via the Bennet Well South palaeochannel.

Several small untested potential extensions to the Bennet Well deposit are evident in the seismic imagery, while a newly discovered tributary named the Bennet Well West channel extends westwards, linking the Bennet Well deposit to the Yanrey palaeochannel, the filing added.

Further infill passive seismic is planned for the Bennet Well deposit to better define the new target areas and infill gaps, it added.

The company's shares fell 4% in recent Tuesday trade.
