Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL) said drilling results from the Old Highway gold deposit in Western Australia showed potential for resource growth in areas adjacent to the existing mine plan, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The drilling was focused on growing the mine life beyond its current four years, and the program targeted down-dip and up-dip extensions outside of the resource envelope.
It encountered intercepts of five meters at 4.7 grams per tonne grade of gold, five meters at 3.7 g/t grade of gold, and two meters at 17.4 g/t grade of gold.
Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Friday.
