Casio (TYO:6952) British subsidiary, Casio Electronics, has seen a class action lawsuit against it dismissed after the plaintiffs voluntarily withdrew their claim, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
The case, filed by consumer group Which?, also known as the Consumers' Association, on behalf of customers, alleged that Casio Electronics violated competition rules through resale price maintenance on electronic musical instruments between 2013 and 2018.
The UK Competition Appeal Tribunal granted the withdrawal request on July 13, bringing the legal proceedings to a close.
Casio confirmed that the parent company was never a party to the suit.
