Capricorn Metals Completes Western Australia Expansion Project on Schedule

Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) completed construction and commissioning of its Karlawinda expansion project on schedule, with the expanded crushing, milling and carbon-in-leach circuits now operational and transitioning to steady-state throughput, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The expanded operation has achieved its targeted processing rate of 6.5 million tonnes per annum, with optimization continuing and run-of-mine ore stockpiles steadily increasing, per the filing.

The expanded Karlawinda gold project is expected to produce around 150,000 ounces of gold annually, with existing reserves supporting a mine life of more than 10 years, the filing added.
