Canon (TYO:7751) said it will launch a 22.6 billion yen share buyback to repurchase up to 5.04 million common shares through the Tokyo Stock Exchange's ToSTNeT-3 off-auction trading system on Friday, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
The consumer imaging equipment maker said the buyback is part of its planned 54 million share repurchase totaling 200 billion yen between Jan. 30, 2026, and Jan. 29, 2027.
The results of the repurchases will be announced on Friday.
