Canon (TYO:7751) said it completed its 200 billion yen share buyback, repurchasing 45.3 million common shares through the Tokyo Stock Exchange's ToSTNeT-3 off-auction trading system.
The consumer imaging equipment maker said that the shares were repurchased between Jan. 30 and Sept. 4, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Monday.
The buyback is part of its planned 54 million share repurchase between Jan. 30, 2026, and Jan. 29, 2027, through market purchases based on a discretionary trading contract.
