CANbridge Pharmaceuticals (HKG:1228) has begun registration procedures and commercial preparations to launch its Gaucher disease therapy, Gaurunning, in a key North African market, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The company said the move represents the first step in Gaurunning's international rollout and targets a market with significant unmet clinical needs.
Gaurunning, an enzyme replacement therapy for Type I and Type III Gaucher disease, received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration in May 2025 for adolescents aged 12 and above and adults.
Shares of the pharmaceutical firm rose nearly 6% in recent trading.
