Canadian National Railway (CNI) has moved over 2.96 million metric tonnes of grain from Western Canada in May, compared with 2.54 million metric tonnes for the same period last year, the company said Monday.
The May figure sets a new monthly record for grain movement, the company added.
Shares of the company were up 1.2% in Monday afternoon trading.
