Canada's two-year bond auction received CA$14.4 billion in bids for CA$5.5 billion of securities, with the bonds awarded at an average yield of 3.164%, according to data published on the Bank of Canada's website on Thursday.
The auction's yield ranged from 3.161% at the low end to 3.166% at the high end. The bond will mature on Nov. 1, 2028.
The auction received 2.6 times more bids than the amount of bonds available for sale.
Canadian investors received 59.44% of the bonds sold, while international investors received 40.56%. Canada's central bank didn't buy any of the bonds.
