Calix Secures FCC Conditional Approval for Gateway Appliances

By

Calix (CALX) said Wednesday that the US Federal Communications Commission Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has recognized conditional approval from the US Department of Defense, permitting the continued import, sale, and deployment of all its gateway appliances.

The conditional approval exempts the gateway devices from the commission's covered list, removing associated restrictions, the company said.

Existing equipment authorizations will remain valid, with the company continuing to provide software, security, and firmware updates for its current installations, it added.
