Bus Cap Signs Exclusive Agreement with BYD to Localize Electric Bus Manufacturing

Bus Cap (KLSE:BUSCAP) has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with BYD Malaysia to jointly develop a local new energy commercial vehicle platform, according to a Tuesday filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The arrangement will be anchored by a proposed electric bus assembly and manufacturing facility in Perak, with BYD covering product utilization, sales, distribution, after-sales services, assembly and manufacturing.

The parties could also evaluate electric trucks, forklifts, vans and minibuses solutions and opportunities under the agreement.
