Buchang Pharmaceuticals' Unit Commissions Xinliyan Biotech for Development of Two Fillers

Shandong Buchang Pharmaceuticals' (SHA:603858) unit, Baoding Tianhao Pharmaceutical, commissioned Beijing Xinliyan Biotechnology to develop two injectable fillers, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.

The fillers are an injectable silk protein filler, which will be used for the treatment of mid-face volume deficiency, and injectable calcium hydroxyapatite filler, which will be used for the treatment of mandibular contour deficiency.

Under the deals, Xinliyan will be given the right to research, apply for the registration and manufacture the fillers.

The pharmaceutical company's shares fell 2% at the close.
