Brother Industries (TYO:6448) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped nearly 326% to 49.9 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter, from 11.7 billion yen a year earlier.
The industrial machinery manufacturer's earnings per share soared to 200.87 yen from 45.87 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
Revenue increased 23% to 253.3 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 206 billion yen.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 77.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 318.46 yen and revenue of 980.0 billion yen.
Brother Industries expects to pay dividends of 100.00 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
