Broadcom Positioned for Fiscal Q3 Beat, Raise on Networking Momentum, RBC Says

By

Broadcom (AVGO) is positioned for a slight fiscal Q3 beat and raise, driven by ongoing momentum in its networking business, RBC Capital Markets said.

Major customers indicate strong demand trends in networking, with growing cluster sizes serving as a key tailwind, the brokerage said. Broadcom's optical segment also presents a near-term growth opportunity, while scale-across and scale-up could be future growth catalysts, RBC added in a Tuesday note.

Commentary from key TPU customers also points to accelerating compute demand but long lead times and potential competition could limit the upside. Still, continued TPU adoption and Broadcom's long-term contract should support the company's growth in the next few years, according to the note.

The company is set to release its fiscal Q3 results on Sept. 2, and RBC estimates adjusted earnings of $3.22 per share and revenue of $29.40 billion.

RBC reiterated its sector perform rating on Broadcom, with a $400 price target.
