BRIM Biotechnology Phase Two Trial Shows 50% Corneal Healing

BRIM Biotechnology (TPE:6885) said 50% of patients in its Phase 2 trial of BRM424 for neurotrophic keratitis achieved complete corneal healing after 28 days of treatment.

Seven of 14 patients in the full analysis set achieved complete healing, while corneal lesion size and sensitivity also improved during the treatment period, according to a Monday filing.

The company said no serious adverse events occurred during the treatment period, and BRM424 showed favorable safety and tolerability.

BRIM Biotechnology plans to proceed to the next phase of clinical trials, it said.
