BrightView's Operational Improvements Seen Driving Financial Growth, Oppenheimer Says

By

BrightView's (BV) operational improvements are expected to be followed by an improving financial growth profile, and Oppenheimer views the shares as undervalued.

The company's One BrightView turnaround strategy has been delivering significant operating metric improvements, including reduced frontline employee turnover and increased customer retention, Oppenheimer analysts said in a Thursday note.

Sales force investments and enhanced operational efficiency are starting to bolster financial results, with core Land Maintenance Revenue, which represents around two-thirds of the company's revenue mix, moving to year-over-year growth from declines in the past two years, the analysts said.

BrightView's operational improvements were masked by a non-routine self-insurance adjustment, as well as elevated fuel prices, which the company is mitigating through fleet modernization, route-based technology, and lower-cost fuel options, the analysts said. They anticipate a ramp in fiscal 2027 financial growth as these factors are alleviated.

Oppenheimer's rating on the company's stock is outperform, with a $16 price target.

Shares of BrightView were down 1.6% in Thursday trading.
